The “L” shaped galvanized steel drainage strip is called DrainAway® perforated drainage strip. Its bottom ledge is perforated, allowing moisture to drain vertically at the base of a wall cavity and facilitating appropriate ventilation. DrainAway® is an easy-to-install solution that may be used with a variety of exterior claddings, such as cementitious siding products, wood, vinyl, cedar, and manufactured or natural stone veneer. It is appropriate for both residential and commercial application.
