A masonry drainage tool called DriwallTM Mortar Deflection from KeeneTM Building Products is made to collect and contain mortar drippings. For both residential and commercial applications, DriwallTM Mortar Deflection permits moisture to permeate stone hollow walls and brickwork. To enable moisture to pass through to the weep holes, debris is gathered below the face of the internal wall and above the flashing. Mold cannot grow on DriwallTM Mortar Deflection because it does not absorb moisture.
